Ey der fellow Yooper,

If you look at my resume, you will see two distinct stories. One is a list of job titles; Receptionist, Manager, Cook—that shows a history of showing up, working hard, and serving others. The other story, highlighted in the "TECHNICAL_ORIGIN" section, is the one that defines me: a 20-year obsession with building, breaking, and fixing computer based applications/systems.

For a significant stretch of time, my primary "job" was largely invisible. I stepped away from a trajectory in media and sales to help care for a family member with a terminal illness, from diagnosis to end-of-life. After my responsibilities concluded, I transitioned into nonprofit and support roles that offered me the meaning required to be present for my community and myself.

That experience didn't just teach me resilience; it clarified my values. In tech, we talk about "uptime" and "reliability" as abstract metrics. When you are coordinating care for a loved one, those words take on a very literal, human weight. I bring that same gravity to my technical work.
